I have been in education in Essex for 26 years.

The last 3 years I have worked as a Freelance Education Adviser for Mathematics in Essex supporting schools in their implementation plans for the new 2014 National Curriculum and all their other mathematical requirements. For 12 years prior to that I worked for Essex Local Authority as a Mathematics Adviser, implementing the National Numeracy Strategy in 1999 and working in the wider field of mathematics, including working with NQT's and students in the Essex SCITT programme.

Since leaving college I have worked in 3 schools in Essex - in Harlow, Rayleigh and Chelmsford, as a class teacher, Mathematics Subject Leader and within Senior Management.

I qualified from St Martins College, Lancaster in September 1988 with a 2.1 Mathematics and Education degree.
